On Fri, November 22, 1963, the printing presses that print the National Geographic were busy finishing up the January, 1964 result. The presses were stopped when news of President Kennedy'south assassination was received. An actress page was added to the magazine, with words of tribute to the slain President. By the time the mag started to reach customers in December, 1963, the nation would have started to recover from the loss. The Thunderbird pictured at the left was featured in an advertisement on page ane of that event. Hardtop at left shown in Pagoda Green
